I appreciate your time in reviewing my work. My name is James Clark, a designer and art director originally from Minneapolis, MN, now residing in Seattle, WA. While I don’t limit myself to one niche I’ve been working and specializing in lifestyle, active, and outdoor apparel. Since the late ’90s and early ’00s, I’ve been in and out of in-house, freelance, and small agency roles, practicing a variety of graphic design disciplines. My love affair with motion graphics goes back to my childhood. At times I can be a chameleon to the latest design trends, but have found myself more focused on the pragmatic needs of the client or business I’m working with. Presently, I’m working remotely as a digital designer and art director with the talented team at Dickies on a variety of digital and print projects. Learn more about where I’ve been and what I’ve been working on here.
You’ll notice that there’s a lot related to cycling in my portfolio. It’s a category I was somewhat pushed into. That said, I’ve found relevance for any industry through my time working in this category. Projects range from the most technical callouts and infographics to fashion and lifestyle.
This site is currently a work in progress. While I stay up late organizing back end of this site with content and figure out the best way to present it, you can review a sample of my work in the links below. I’ve also created a digital tear sheet in Figma.
I truly appreciate you taking the time to review my work. More to come.
